PETROLEUM PRODUCTS

Petroleum products are fuels and other substances made from crude oil. Crude oil is a naturally occurring fossil fuel that is found deep beneath the Earth's surface. It is made up of hydrocarbons, which are compounds that contain hydrogen and carbon atoms.

Petroleum products include gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel, heating oil, and other fuels used for transportation and heating. They also include lubricating oils, waxes, asphalt, and other products used in manufacturing and construction.

The refining process is used to separate crude oil into its various components, which are then further processed to produce the different types of petroleum products. This process involves heating the crude oil and separating it into different fractions based on their boiling points.

The demand for petroleum products is driven by the global need for energy, transportation, and manufacturing.
